Most people moving personal belongings do not need an entire container. Here is the plain-language difference so you can tell us which one to quote.

Shared container space (LCL)

Need only part of a container? Start with roughly 5, 10, 15 or 20 feet of shared space. Your shipment is consolidated with compatible cargo, subject to route and availability.

  • Choose approximate space in 5, 10, 15 or 20 foot increments
  • Best when your belongings do not fill a whole container
  • Shared space is not a dedicated container, other compatible cargo travels alongside
  • Timing and destination availability vary by route and sailing schedule

Book a whole container for your shipment alone. Current options are 20 foot, 40 foot and 45 foot containers.

Shared shipping is not automatically cheaper or faster for every shipment. Which option makes sense depends on your volume, route and the services you need, and that is exactly what your quote compares.

These are current per-container prices for full containers to Central America and South America.

Service scope is confirmed with your route-specific quote. Pickup in Canada, destination delivery, customs, duties, taxes, insurance and destination charges are confirmed on the quote and are not stated as included or excluded here.

Other regions, shared container space and 45 ft containers are quoted by route. Ask for a quote and we will confirm the current price for your move.
